Alina Georgescu leads IDC’s business in Romania and she’s responsible for sales and business development across the company’s key business areas, such as: research, consulting, and events, with a particular focus on the IT Executive Program.
Alina has a strong role in helping customers be successful in accelerating their own digital transformation journey, by understanding the new technologies development and successful strategies implementation. Based on vast data collection, cross-industry market assessments, and, most importantly, local insight, supported by a group of local analysts, IDC is able to assist both technology providers and technology users, in their efforts to remain competitive.
Prior to joining IDC in 2016, she worked for more than 13 years’ in the IT market with experience in services sales, banking industry and channel business development. Alina comes to IDC from Ymens where she has served as Sales Director for a little over the past two years. Prior to this role, she has held several senior manager roles at IBM Romania.
Alina holds certificate degree for Business and Industry Insight Programme and Strategic Conversation Programme at London Business School and graduated with distinction in Sociology and Social Assistance from Bucharest University, Bucharest.
