Inspired by Simon Sinek’s concept of Start With Why, in the world of IOT people need to understand their “why IOT” to inspire and lead.
IOT has been part of our everyday life for several years now. The IoT market is growing through available solutions from an extensive ecosystem of technology vendors that provide IoT components or products, services, and expertise. While access to solutions depends on the level of end-user experience, the true benefit of IoT is based on a successful combination of IT and operational models, services, and expertise across ecosystem partners.
Knowing your "why IoT" offers you a filter that allows you to decide the ideal solution for your work or home to help you find a better fit in everything you do.
IDC IOT Forum offers valuable insights and practical advices through expert lectures, case studies, and round table discussions. Participants will get acquainted with global trends and best practices in ICT and will be able to engage in informal discussions with colleagues during scheduled breaks.
New business models creation
Data monetization
IOT transforming organizations internally
Using IOT data externally
IDC Connect Session gives you the opportunity to participate in a roundtable discussion with up to 8 delegates on relevant industry topics allowing delegates to have in depth discussions with one another, led by industry experts. IDC analysts provide guidance on the initial hot topics for the discussion but are open to further suggestions from Forum partners.
Each table will be taken up by 1 sponsor and have a dedicated topic (see list above) allocated to that table. Sponsor is free to choose the table, subject to availability.

Since 2013, we have been engaged in building analog mars rovers. We participated in other projects, e.g. FREDE – sending research equipment into the stratosphere, organized by the German, Swedish, and European Space Agencies. We also supported and manufactured parts for DREAM Project – a project that sent an experiment in a rocket to drill in microgravity conditions.
Now we are ready to take this experience to another level! We build Turtle Rover as a 100% customizable open platform to make it useful in many different fields.
We want people to explore the world with it and to learn engineering. We believe it’s the future.
The Open Society Fund Prague supports the development of an open society and promotes systemic changes that help to strengthen democracy in the Czech Republic. We encourage non-governmental non-profit organizations, civic initiatives, and individuals to actively influence conditions in their region and in their country. Through open calls for proposals we distributes grants for promoting transparency and effectiveness of public administration, equal chances to education for all children, equal opportunities for women and men and as well as prevention and help for the victims of domestic violence.
Since 1992 we distributed more than 1.38 billion crowns for more than 9,400 projects.
Currently we are running the following main grant programs:
Since 1992 we introduced numerous new concepts to the Czech Republic. In the 1990s, the foundation supported the creation and growth of palliative care centers. It also introduced the concept of watchdog organizations engaged in defending the public’s interests, and it works to promote the concept of inclusive education.
We promote NGO cooperation and networking recognizing the power of joint citizen action. For example in 2013 we initiated the Reconstruction of the State. It is a joint program of anti-corruption organizations, deputies and senators, a number of renowned experts, members of the business community, chambers and associations, and active citizens with a clear and specific goal—the adoption of nine concrete anti-corruption laws.
